The Impending Triumph EP is a must-have for all old-school heavy metal fans. Impending Triumph delivers a powerful and passionate tribute to the genre, drawing inspiration from legendary bands like Manowar, Accept, Running Wild, and Helloween. The lyrics follow the story of Puritania, a fictional empress, and touch on the importance of free-thinking and standing one’s ground.
“Even before we started composing”, explains vocalist François, “we knew that all our lyrics would talk about the exploits and conquests of Puritania, a fictional empress who claims to be a true defender of liberty but really is a tyrant in disguise. The events take place in a fantasy setting, and the story is told by one of Puritania’s biggest admirers and most loyal followers. With time and experience, his fascination may turn into something else though…”
And this self-titled EP is just the beginning! The duo is currently hard at work on its first full-length album, which is already more than half-written and will be finished during 2023. As stated in the lyrics of The Invisible Fortress – arguably the catchiest, most noticeable song of the EP – “Puritania is here to stay. Triumph or death – there is no other way!”
