We are kickstarting the new year with 3 pre-orders for upcoming tape releases: Amethyst, Löanshark, and Goatfyre. Amethyst from Switzerland plays totally old school heavy rock which sounds like a mix of the NWOBHM movement and the early Swedish heavy metal scene. Löanshark is a power trio from Spain playing high energy heavy/speed metal that just makes you happy. Goatfyre is a metal/punk outfit from Gothenburg, Sweden which should go well with any fans of the Mystic Storm album that was released by Jawbreaker Records in 2021. More releases will follow soon so stay tuned out there!
The Aquilla LPs are still delayed due to major fuck-ups from the pressing plant in question. Right now it looks like the album won't be out until mid-February, which sucks big time considering we were supposed to receive the records already back in October. Unfortunately this is totally out of our hands, so not much that we can do except to wait a bit longer. So sorry for the delay but thanks for the patience everyone!

Amethyst is a new Heavy Metal band from Switzerland, formed in 2020 out of the ashes of the previous band Midas Touch. Their goal is to play Heavy Metal, as it was intended by the noble elders, straight from the hearts of the band members to pierce those of the listeners. The inspiration comes not from a specific band in particular, but rather from the sound in general of the era between 1979 and 1981, and the spirit of said time. Rock Knights is Amethyst‘s debut 4-song tape, out on Jawbreaker Records in March 2023.
Löanshark is a traditional Heavy Metal power trio from Barcelona, Spain, whose objective is to recover the glory of the bands that played the purest and most classic Heavy Metal in the first half of the 80s. To find its own sound, Löanshark is also inspired by classic speed metal, hard rock and blues. The aim of their songs is to transmit energy and badassism based on electric riffs and structures that encourage headbanging and the desire to sing along with the band’s contagious choruses. The Gangland Tapes is a compilation of the band’s entire discography so far, out on February 24.
Goatfyre formed in 2019 with the intention of creating a sound that blends the raw energy of punk with the heavy riffs of metal. The result – dubbed Slaying Metal Punk – is a force to be reckoned with, especially the aggressive and commanding vocals delivered by frontwoman Åse. Goatfyre’s self-titled debut album is a relentless assault on the senses. With its raw energy, heavy riffs, and in-your-face vocals, the album is sure to appeal to fans of all things heavy and punk. Out on February 24.
