Jawbreakers!

Today, Friday the 13th 2023, is the release of Acid BladePower Dive on vinyl LP. 8 songs of old school Heavy Metal in the proper style.

Unfortunately the Aquilla LPs which were also supposed to be released today are still delayed, which means that all that of you that have ordered both of these LPs will have to wait just a bit longer before your order can ship. There have been some problems from the side of the pressing plant, but hopefully it should only be a matter of days or weeks by now. We will let you know more as soon as we know ourselves, thanks for your patience.

Three new LP pre-orders open!

Today is a good day, as we can proudly present none less than three vinyl pre-orders for upcoming Jawbreaker releases. Only old-school and underground metal of the highest quality, as always!

Acid Blade – Power Dive

Acid Blade is a powerful Heavy Metal outfit from Dresden, Germany, risen out of the ashes of the previous project Angel Blade. While the demo released under that name got great reviews, listeners should not just expect “Angel Blade II”. Instead, this is a much heavier and more dynamic band, with influences ranging from 70s Hard Rock and NWOBHM to US Metal, Thrash, and Punk. While mashing together different styles, Acid Blade‘s sound remains raw and honest, which paired with the characteristic and versatile voice of frontman Klay Mensana will not disappoint any fan of their former work. Acid Blade is not reinventing the wheel but is consequently continuing to turn it. This is Heavy fucking Metal as it should be!

Aquilla – Mankind’s Odyssey

Aquilla is a heavy metal band that was founded in 2015 in the heart of Poland and it’s capital city – Warsaw. The band’s main theme is a blend of science-fiction and 80’s aesthetics. Every aspect from lyrics to stage performance is connected by the band’s original lore, a sci-fi universe that is highly inspired by both old-school and nowadays pictures such as 2001: Space Odyssey, Dune, Alien, Bladerunner or Interstellar. Aquilla aim to bring to the audience a futuristic story of a mankind that has left Earth and ventures through the unknown in order to find a new place to live long and prosper. This epic story was begun already on the EP pair consisting of The Day we Left Earth (2017) and Saviors of the Universe (2019, released on cassette by Jawbreaker Records), and is now given not just another chapter, but a taken to a whole new dimension in the form of the band’s first full-length album, Mankind’s Odyssey. This is something you don’t want to miss if you are into fast-paced, old-school sounding heavy metal with extraordinary high-pitched vocals.

Gallower – Behold the Realm of Darkness

Also hailing from Poland are Gallower, a witching blackend thrash band formed in 2015, inspired by such bands as Destruction, Kreator, Sabbat (UK), Sodom, Mercyful Fate, Slayer and Venom. All the lyrics on the 41 minutes long debut album Behold the Realm of Darkness are interlinked and take place in the dark and eponymously named land of Gallower. This is a unwelcoming place ravaged by the black death and populated by witches, necromancers and inquisitors.
