Onyx – Onyx
Onyx was a short-lived but highly influential Swedish heavy metal band active in the early 1980’s. Onyx had a sound that remains quite unique still to this day, and they were also one of the first metal bands in Sweden to pen lyrics in their native tongue. The tape contains all four tracks from the 1982 single (available on cassette for the first time ever) as well as another four songs from the 1983 demo.

The moment of Planet Earth’s autumnal equinox is upon us, which also means that the cassette version of Aquilla‘s debut album Mankind’s Odyssey is now officially released!
Mankind’s Odyssey is a science fiction concept album depicting a mankind that has left Earth and ventures through the unknown in order to find a new place to call home. This epic story was begun already on the EP pair consisting of The Day We Left Earth (2017) and Saviors of the Universe (2019, also released on cassette by Jawbreaker Records), and is now given not just another chapter, but a taken to a whole new dimension in the form of the band’s first full-length album, Mankind’s Odyssey.
Highly energetic, old school sounding and fast Heavy Metal with extraordinary and high-pitched vocals.
This cassette version of Mankind’s Odyssey is available on 3 different tape colors: Cosmocrystallic Orange (limited to 50 copies), Hyperspeed Red (limited to 100 copies), and Solar Yellow (limited to 150 copies). All three variants come with a sticker.
The pre-order is now open for the tape version of Aquilla‘s upcoming debut album Mankind’s Odyssey. I know that many of you missed the chance to grab the Mystic Storm LP that came out on Jawbreaker Records in October 2021. But fear not, as the second pressing just arrived at long last, so now you have a new chance.
Mystic Storm hails from St. Petersburg, Russia, and plays a unique style of thrash mixed up with ultra heavy Bolt Thrower riffs, powerful vocals and wild speed metal melodies. The lyrics mostly concern leather-clad barbarian warriors and ancient evils from the world of Robert E. Howard and are sung in the Russian language. Musically traces can be heard of Manowar, Heavy Load, Bathory, Ария, Powerlord, Vio-Lence, Sentinel Beast and Immortal – but all mixed up in a fresh new way. This might be the best underground album to surface during the 20’s.
The second pressing of the LP comes with an improved design compared to the first pressing, available on white or black vinyl. Same great artwork and music though! The first pressing sold in less than a month, so make sure to be fast as a shark if you want a piece of sorcerous thrash metal!

Stormdeath is a thrashing heavy metal band from the plague-ridden island of Hisingen in Goatenburg, Sweden. The band have been delivering their goods for more than a decade now, constantly trying to push the boundaries of metal further and further but still always remaining loyal in their service of the metal godz of old. Call of the Panzer Goat is Stormdeath’s long-awaited second album, finally unleashed upon mankind through Jawbreaker Records. Formed in 1980, Rising from Vänersborg is one of the forgotten gems from the golden era of Swedish Heavy Metal. The band never released any full-length album, but managed to deliver an onslaught of demo tapes and 7″ singles throughout the 80’s.
In 1983, the band organized their first full tour, and the final show in their home town was recorded professionally. These recordings have only been collecting dust until now though, but thanks to this cassette release from Jawbreaker Records the world will finally have the chance to hear this live concert for the first time!
